What is CCCS?

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northern Colorado and Southeast Wyoming (CCCS), is a not-for-profit agency, whose mission is to improve the well-being of families and individuals by helping them prevent and resolve financial problems and learn money management skills. CCCS counselors are certified by the NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling). The agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children. The agency receives funding from area United Ways.

How Can CCCS Help?

Financial Counseling
Meet with a financial counselor and learn skills you need to manage your money and maintain a safe level of debt. Topics may include: setting goals, tracking spending, paycheck planning, controlling the use of credit cards, power payments, covering annual expenses. Sliding scale fee.

Financial Workshops
Increase your financial savy. Our workshop can help. Varied topics include
Financial Fitness, Dollars to Dreams, and Your Money or Your Life. Speakers available for your clubs, civic groups and workplace.

Financial Programs for Young Adults
Free classroom presentations titled Acting Your Wage, Just Charge It!, and Your Ticket to Ride.

Debt Management
Juggling payments? Stop collection calls. Reduce stress and get out of debt. CCCS works directly with your creditors. Lower payments and reduced interest charges may be possible. Alternative to bankruptcy. Confidential. Adequate income necessary. Monthly fee.

Home Buying/Keeping Your Home
Is owning a home in your future? Attend our first-time homebuyer class. CHAFA and HUD approved curriculum. CCCS is HUD certified to provide housing counseling. If you start to fall behind on mortgage payments, contact one of our housing counselors right away.

Credit Report Review
Do you know your credit history? It’s important. Includes a review of your Transunion and Equifax credit reports and assistance with correcting errors. Fee.
